The Chronicles of Wetherid II - Volume 2
The Guardians of the Seven Artifacts

The Frost Elves of Ilnarath

Driven by an unstoppable thaw, the proud people of Ilnarath face an existential choice. To save their kind, they consider an alliance that defies all tradition—one that could carry the war south.

Deadly Ice Spiders

In the lethal valleys of the North, colossal arachnids lie in wait—creatures once thought untamable. Yet a foreign power claims to control these beasts, a claim that could alter the balance of power forever.

Jom, Clan Leader

A hardened warrior locked in generations of blood-feud with his neighbors. Faced with an impending invasion, he must make the hardest choice of his life: cling to old hatred—or sacrifice his pride for the survival of the Nordland.

The Oath of the Northern Clans

In the great hall of Thronheim, rival human leaders gather. The air burns with tension, for to withstand the coming storm, the impossible must occur: a united army forged from ancient enemies.

Princess Balae

Princess of the Kajirs, she bears the fate of a dying people upon her shoulders. To save them from certain death, she must enter the lion’s den and forge an alliance that demands everything of her.

Sheikh Neg El Bahi

The ruler of Iseran sees himself as the architect of a new age and opens his gates to outsiders. Yet while he dreams of greatness and conquest, he remains unaware of the dark voice truly guiding his thoughts.

The Siege of Astinhod

The capital of Wetherid is encircled by enemy siege engines. The walls tremble beneath relentless bombardment, while within the council chambers a struggle rages: endure—or negotiate?

The Glorious Elves

In a paradisiacal valley, the High Elves rest in apparent safety, trusting in their ancient power. But deception wears many faces, and danger often lurks where it is least expected—among one’s own kin.

Prince Sylvian of the Mist Elves

The masked ruler of the Mist Elves pulls the strings from the shadows. With cold calculation, he manipulates friend and foe alike—yet his true goals remain as impenetrable as the fog of his realm.

Spider Riders of the Marsh

The silent cavalry of the Mistmarsh, feared for their speed and deadly mounts. Those who cross their path rarely escape, for they know every corner of the treacherous swamps.

Rha’Gorr, the Cave Troll

Deep beneath the earth, in the abandoned tunnels of the Gray Dwarves, an ancient force dwells. Those who seek passage through the darkness must face him—for Rha’Gorr tolerates no intrusion.

King of the Gray Dwarves

In the depths of Ingar, the forges burn without rest. The King of the Gray Dwarves arms a vast host, yet his hunger for rare ores threatens to shatter the fragile alliance of the dark peoples.

The Ogres of Wahmuther

Across the steppes of Wahmuther, immense war machines rise—built by hands strong enough to crush stone. Yet while their king dreams of victory, the elders warn of a shadow greater than any war.

Azrakel’s Undead Host

In the ruins of Zantranos, an army gathers that needs neither sleep nor sustenance. When the dead march, the living tremble—for their ranks swell with every fallen foe.

Druids of the World Tree

The druids of the Dark Forest seek counsel from their most sacred symbol to uncover the cause of the forest’s decay. Yet the answer the ancient tree provides may spell the end of their order—and forever unbalance the forces of nature.

The Guardians of the Seven Artifacts

Xaroth the Demon

An ancient force from the soul-realm — unknowable, unbound, and unlike anything born of flesh. His gaze alone bends reality. His voice stills even the strongest hearts. Xaroth knows no loyalty. Only annihilation.

Gorzod the Orc Shaman

Driven by the desperation of a broken people, Gorzod dares the unthinkable: the summoning of a demonic power. His scarred soul burns with vengeance. But can he truly master the darkness he has awakened?

Haloyan of the Mist Elves

A dangerous mist elf. Haloyan is cousin to Prince Sylvian — and his silent enforcer. Behind his stoic gaze lies cold calculation; his arrows fall without sound, without mercy. He is no servant. He is the knife in the fog.

Aelvor & Zelivra

They lead the Frost Elves with a frozen resolve. He is the silent tactician. She, the unleashed blade. Together, they are the deadliest form of order and wrath. Where Aelvor calculates, Zelivra strikes.

Grand Duke Aldion

Aldion of Kirindor — proud, forceful, and utterly convinced he is the rightful guardian of the throne. His patience is thin. And when trust breaks, Aldion does not hesitate. He acts.

Lady Merdiva

Elegant, poised — and dangerously astute. Merdiva is a master of Astinhod’s political stage, weaving influence and ambition with effortless grace. Behind her refined exterior lies a mind sharpened for power and advantage.

Konge Stojvar Icegaze

A seasoned ruler, disciplined and clear-eyed — a man who sees danger for what it is and does not flinch. Stojvar speaks with authority, weighs his decisions with care, and leads the Nordland not with spectacle, but with unwavering resolve.

Captain Halvard

A silent, steady seafarer with a sharp eye and a sure hand on the helm. Halvard knows the Northern Sea — and trusts in experience over words. Through storm and ice, he carries the companions forward with a calm that does not waver.

The Portal of the Shieldwall

An ancient gate beyond the bounds of time, hidden deep within the fortress of the Shieldwall. It opens into long-lost epochs — and tests all who would claim the legacy of the old powers.

The Ice Dragon

A primordial wyrm, its name long forgotten — born of the gods’ fury. Only one who speaks its true name may still the storm within and survive. It is the embodiment of the Nordland’s eternal frost.

Ice Rays

Massive, lightning-charged beasts with winglike fins and flickering tendrils. They circle beneath the frozen surface, sensing hesitation — and strike upward with violent force when their prey lingers too long.

Nivlings

Tiny, humanlike creatures — no larger than lemmings — hidden beneath the snow in a lattice of tunnels. Silent, swift, and rarely seen, they roam the Nordland with clever eyes and wary steps.
